Jessie, 86, of Ramp Road, Columbia, died at Washington County Hospital. He was a retired self-employed surveyor and a member of Malachi's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his parents, Zachariah and Henrietta Basnight. Survivors include his wife, Elva M. Basnight of Columbia; daughter, Carol B. Spruill of Columbia; son, Jessie Willard Basnight Jr. of Shiloh; 6 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
