Here is an old saying that- "There is an unseen power in every man which cometh from on High, to strengthen his infirmities - and when the time is nigh, it kindles up a flame of fire as he comes to the end of mortal life." And so it was with Blaine Thompson. Even though he had many physical problems, he met life cheerfully and with vigor. He had learned that hard work is a virtue which gives temper and strength to man. Life was never easy, but he was never one to complain, taking life as it was given, meeting each challenge as best he could. He was dependable, honest, thrifty, and was always seeking an opportunity to provide a useful service to a friend. Although his earthly mission has ended, he has left many memories for his family and friends. His life has been well spent and one day, he will be mingling in the company of men who are just and true. Such men as Abraham, Noah, even Jesus too. 1921-1974
