Born of Italian immigrant parents she was the 6th child of seven. Her life as a young girl was very difficult after her father deserted the family and left them to fend for themselves. Marie was only about 2 years old when her father left. As a young girl she longed for a better life. Her life changed forever when she met and married Frank P. Taormina. At the time he was a young barber working in his fathers Barber Shop in Pittsburgh Pa. Frank Taormina was a gentleman, kind and patient. He was just the rock she needed to build a better life on. On November 7, 1934 they were married. In 1937 they had a daughter who was the love of their life. In 1946 the family moved from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles California where Frank continued to barber to support the family. Marie became involved in the Southern California Real Estate business and over time became a Broker with an office in Alhambra California. She was well respected in the business and had a great talent for buying and selling real estate. Life was good and the family prospered. Her dreams as a young girl had finally been realized. With her daughter now married and several grandchildren, Marie decided to retire. She retired to Mesa Arizona where the weather is nice and the sun never quits shining. She is loved and missed by many. May she rest in peace in Gods loving arms.
