Burial: Rose Hill cemetery
Survivors: wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Allen; three sons, William, 12, Charles, 9, and Joe Bailey jr, 7; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles I. Allen; brother, Charles I. Allen jr., Hazelhurst, Miss.; three sisters, Miss Shelly Allen and Mrs. Hattie Douglas, also of Hazelhurst, and Mrs. Sarah Burns, Sharon, Miss.
Mr. Allen moved to Sallisaw in 1912 from Mississippi. He was the Sequoyah county attorney. He came to Oklahoma City in 1916 and was a member of the firm Allen & Jarman.
