Steven B. Priest passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Spokane WA. Steve was born December 19, 1922 in Spokane.

He was raised on a farm in Mondovi with his parents Ted and Irene Zeimantz. Ted was NOT his dad. Irene was mrd to Wm Arthur Priest Jr lst and he was Stevens dad.
Steve graduated from Davenport High School and then entered the Army serving from 1941 to 1945.

He worked for the Washington State Military Department retiring in 1987 as an Engineer 2nd Class. Steve enjoyed astronomy and CNN. He was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church, Spokane Eagles Aerie 2, Life Member VFW Post 51, and the Sons of Norway. Steve's life is to be celebrated with the great success of a good man. He lived his life with the love and respect of his family and his fellow man. He left this world a better place. Not from a big splash but from a gentle ripple that left behind love, humor, kindness, fairness and compassion to all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his wife JaDee Priest of Spokane Valley; daughter Kimberly Dyer of Kent WA; stepson Harlan Shellabarger of Cheney WA; stepdaughter Steena Naccarato of Sunnyvale, CA; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy Kopp and brothers Wayne LaBou and Ted Zeimantz.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 314 S. Spruce at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to All Saints Lutheran Church.
