Clare Marie Davis was born in Woodburn, Iowa. She attended Woodburn schools (we haven't found where she and Fredrick graduated from, possibly Osceola). She married Fredrick Morris Keeney on September 28, 1928, at the Methodist parsonage in Osceola, Iowa. They had three sons: David Morris, Charles Melvin, and Clare Gilbert. Clare Marie passed away on April 1, 1935. David and Charles were raised by their Keeney grandparents, and Clare was raised by his grandmother, Maude Davis.
