Birdie Belle Phillips Higginbotham
Beckley-Mrs. Birdie Belle Higginbotham, 78, of Beckley, formerly of Sissonville, died April 3, 1988, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley.
She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving: daughters, Dessil Farrish of Beckley, Rachel Harrison of Kannapolis, N.C.; brother, Parvin Phillips of Sissonville; sisters, Mrs. Ona Boggess of Kenna, Mrs. Ova Halstead of Sissonville; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gatens Funeral Home, Poca, with the Rev. W. David Lett officiating. Burial will be in the Higginbotham family cemetery, Trace Fork. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
