Moses Rawlings, was the son of Elizabeth McMahan and Moses Rawlings (a Col. in the American Revolutionary War).
He was born in Hampshire County, Virginia, but he later resided in Allegany County, Maryland. It is there that he married Rebecca McCulloh (also seen spelled McCullough) on 7 APR 1829 in Allegany county, MD, and where they raised a family.
One daughter Maria, was my 3rd great grandmother.
Moses is buried in this cemetery according to sources but his wife Rebecca is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Rebecca's parents, Col. George and his wife Mary Clark/e are buried in this cemetery though.
