BAXTER – Funeral services for Lassie Mai Scarlett, 83, of Baxter, will be held Monday, May 6, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home with Brother Johnny Fox officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home afternoon on Sunday.
Mrs. Scarlett, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 4, 1996, in Cookeville General Hospital.
The daughter of the late Monroe and Ollie Vinson Fuqua, she was born July 15, 1912, in Bloomington Springs. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lee Scarlett; her parents and a host of brothers and sisters.
Her family includes her sons, Junior Lee Scartlett of Cookeville, Douglas Scarlett of Peru, IN, and Arnold
Scarlett of Baxter; her daughter, Kathleen Clemons of Baxter, her brother, Virgil Fuqua of Baxter; and seven grandchildren and a host of greatgrandchildren.
