"Harry Burns Paul, 76, retired Lima township farmer, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, in his home on rt. 1, Milton, following a long illness. He was born in Milton township on the River Road January 13, 1883, the son of Wallace and Ada Thorpe Paul. He was educated in the Rock River School and Milton Academy.

His marriage to Mabel Hull took place February 20, 1908 at the home of her parents, the late Dr. and Mrs. E. S. Hull, Milton Junction. They observed their golden anniversary last year. He farmed all his life, having resided on the present farm for the past 46 years. Mr. Paul was a charter member of the Rock County Farm Bureau and active for several years in the Pure Milk Association. He was a member of the Milton Congregational Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Major Ruth Smith, U. S. Army, St. Louis, Mo.; three sons, Walter, Glen Flora; Harry II, Blair; and Stuart, route 1, Milton; a brother, Carl, Ladysmith; three sisters, Mrs. Harriett Frederickson, Bonners Ferry, Idaho; Mrs. Mary Helen Potter, Edelstein, Ill.; and Mrs. Alice Ayers, Rockton, Ill.; fourteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Milton Congregational church, the Rev. Talmage Hartman officiating. Kenneth A. Babcock gave the song service and Betina Lewis was organist. Burial was in Milton Cemetery."
