Robert Merle Brown was born on February 19, 1928 in Lincoln, NE to Glen Emerald Brown and Leona E. (Thomas) Brown. Three sons were born to this union - Vernon, Robert and Gary.
On January 2, 1948 he married Helen Eloise Wilkins in Lincoln were they began their home and family. They had five children:

Bob worked hard to support his family as a photographer and as a supervisor with the US Postal Service. He retired from the US Postal Service in Omaha in 1976. Upon retirement he, Helen and Marty moved to an acreage outside Brock, NE. He and Helen lived in Brock for the next 24 years. In 2000, they returned to Omaha.
Bob had many interests including photography, fishing and reading; but his main interest was his family. He was the family leader, teaching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren the meaning of love, laughter, hard work and the very best of family values.
He died at his home, surrounded by his loving and grateful family on October 16, 2010 at the age of 82 years.
Bob is survived by his wife Helen, children Jill Bjorndal, Bobbi Johnson, Lori Connolly and Marty Brown; grandchildren Ellen Price, Amy Siebels, Jeff Bergers, Libby Peterson and Ben Caban; great-grandchildren Ethan Price, Natalie Siebels, Maggie Siebels, Owen Siebels, Kaylee Bergers, Trista Bergers and brother Vernon Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Judi Caban, grandsons David Bergers and Jason Palmerton, brother Gary Brown..
