He was retired from General Electric after 37 years of service. He was an Army veteran and very proud of having been a medic at Walter Reed Army Hospital. He was also a member of the Masons and a devout Baptist. He especially enjoyed spending time on the family farms, hunting and mowing. Sunday dinners with his grandchildren and the Plank kids, Madeline, Rachael, and Harrison, were extremely important to him. Talking to his relatives and friends on his cellular phone was a favorite pasttime.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Rowlett Clements, Sr., and Blanche Ellen Pate Clements; brother Sidney Rowlett Clements Jr.; and sisters, Ella Frances Downey and Virginia Anne Woods.
He is survived by Audrey S. Clements, his wife of 59 years; sons, Stephen F. Clements (Kimberly K.) and Robert C. Clements of the home; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, with burial in Pleasureville Cemetery." The Courier-Journal (Louisville, Kentucky), November 4, 2010
