Bernard, Raymond L. age 85, passed on to join his beloved wife Agnes, on June 9, 2010, father to Raymond F., Christine, Stephen, Adrianne, Phillip, and David, grandfather to Rebecca, Nina, John, Dominic, Jessica, Stephen Michael, Victoria, Theo, Jonathan, Veronica, Natalia, and Alex.
Born in Chicago on June 29, 1924, his life-long passions were fishing and woodworking. Ray served patriotically during WWII aboard the USS Salt Lake City. After the war, he owned and operated Bernard Mfg., a Chicago based tool and die company, and All Age Hobby Shop, also in Chicago.
His legacy will be the love, knowledge and patience he shared with all of us. Our dad, our grandpa, will be sadly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Symphorosa Church, 6135 S. Austin Ave., Chicago, on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 9:30 a.m.
