George was one of a set of brothers who shortened their name from Humrickhouser (original German Homrighausen) to H. Houser, the H. standing for Humrick, but often just abbreviated. This is seen on legal documents and census records.

First it is my will that my funeral expenses (can't read) & my just debts be fully paid

Second, I give and devise & bequeth to my beloved wife Catherine Howser in lieu her dower the plantation on which we now live Situate in the County of Fairfield Containing one hundred and thirteen acres in Range No 19 in Township No 17 Refugee tract During her natural lifetime and all the live stock horses cows cattle sheep hogs & by me now and kept them on also all the houshad furniture and other items not paticularly named and other wise disposed of in this will. During her natural life or so long as she shal remain my widow and if the said Catherine Howser shal again marry then she shal be subjected to only one third of the aforesaid property. If She however first deposing of a sufficiency theirof to pay my just debts as afforesaid and that at the death of my said wife all the property hereby devised or bequeathed to her as afore said on so much their of as may then remain unexpended, to my three sons and five daughters and their heirs for ever in maner following to wit all to have equal shares
then I give and devise to my alldest Son Abraham Howser his share of the aforesaid property that may be left at my wifes deth or marrage of ?? out of said property (page could be missing. The next page begins with Fifth)

Fifth, I give and devise that my son John Howser shal (sic) next have his share that me be his due.
Sixth, I and give and devise that my son Absolam Howser shal next have his share or as past will be expediant.
Seventh I give and devise to my five Daughters their equal sharsin turn from the oldest to youngest as fast as my executors can collect and pay over after the land be sold Except my fourth Lydia Howser I give and devise and bequeth to her twenty dollars more than any of my other daughters.
And Lastly, I hereby constituent and appoint my son Abraham Howser and my soning law Benjamin Green to be my executors for this my last will and testament revoking and annuling all former wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and ______ to be my last will and testament.
In testimony Whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this twelvth day of October one thousand eight hundred and forty one.
