Georgia Fields, age 62, of Huntington, died at 7:16 a.m. Thursday (August 27, 2009) at her sister's home in Huntington.
Georgia was born on December 24, 1946 in Hazard, Kentucky to Ted and Mary (Eversole) Fields. She worked for United Technologies in Andrews and was a member of the Eagles Lodge #823 in Huntington and the Avawam Pentecostal Church in Hazard, Kentucky.
Survivors include her mother – Mary Fields of Hazard, Kentucky; two daughters –Kathy (Jeff) Mellor of Nashville, Ohio, and Vicki Cormany of Huntington; six brothers – Joe Fields of Huntington, Noah Fields of Columbia, Kentucky, Marcus Fields of Fort Wayne, Rodney Fields of Wabash, Craig Fields of Greensburg, Indiana, and Ronnie Fields of Huntington; three sisters – Sandra Fosnaugh of Huntington, Brenda Easterling and Angela Bailey both of Hazard, Kentucky; special friend – Cindy Shaw; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Her father; three brothers – Willis, Elmer, and Bobby Fields; and one daughter – Marla Kindley preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 3–7 p.m. Friday (August 28, 2009) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday (August 29, 2009) also at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Reverend Larry Bailey officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in the Lancaster Cemetery.
