GLOUCESTER - Minnie Humphries Baird, 71, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003. She was the daughter of the late John Leroy and Williamina Richardson Humphries. She was a member of Bellamy United Methodist Church, a volunteer for the American Red Cross and a member of the Knitting Guild.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth A. Oliver of Gloucester, and a son, John F. Baird II of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Lauren Oliver.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, Va., by the Rev. Robert Justis.
Memorial donations may be made to the Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 1417, Gloucester, VA 23061.
Funeral arrangements are by Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va.
