Mrs. Edith Briggs, age 42, wife of Ross Briggs, died Tuesday morning at the Robert Long hospital in Indianapolis, where she had been a patient for two weeks.

Mrs. Briggs was born at Hazelrigg, Ind., but had lived practically all her life in Carroll county. The family had lived in Rossville this past year.

Surviving besides her husband are four children: Mrs. Samuel Parrott of Flora, Dean Briggs of Flora, Mrs. John Morlock of Brookville and Barbara Ann, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Thompson; a sister, Mrs. Harold Forlow, of Frankfort, and three brothers, Kenneth and Ralph Thompson, of Frankfort, and Floyd Thompson, of Hobart.

The body was at the L. E. Moore funeral home until Wednesday, when it was taken to the home of Mrs. Lenora Briggs in Flora. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Flora M. E. church, with Rev. F. E. Henninger officiating. Burial was in Maple Lawn cemetery, Flora.
