Services were conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at the Arnoldsburg Methodist Church for Mrs. Myrtle Maddox Higginbotham, 79, Arnoldsburg, who died Friday evening in the Calhoun General Hospital at Grantsville following a sudden illness.
She was born at Winfield, Putnam County, a daughter of the late Charles and Emma Lyons Fewell, and was a member of the Arnoldsburg Methodist Church and OES at Malden.
Surviving are her husband, S. M. Higginbotham; two sons, Nathan Maddox of Cabin Creek and Otto Maddox of Quincy; two daughters, Mrs. Mae Patterson, Logan and Mrs. Phyllis Young, New York City; two brothers, Roy Fewell, Eleanor, and Charles Fewell, Winfield; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ella Rutledge, Rand; two step-sons, Hollis Higginbotham, Sand, and Frank Higginbotham, Diamond.
Rev. Stanley Rowh conducted the services with burial in the London Memorial Park cemetery, near Montgomery. Rev. Paul Hickman assisted.
