Simon Mason Higginbotham
Simon Mason Higginbotham, 91, of 206 Fairview Ave., Diamond, died Thursday at home after a long illness.
He was a retired barber and a member of Diamond Methodist Church.
Surviving: sons, Hollis of Sand Ridge, Frank of Diamond; stepsons, Nathan Maddox of Chesapeake, Otto Maddox of Dickinson; daughter, Mrs. Ella Rutledge of Belle; stepdaughter, Mrs. Mae Patterson of Logan; brothers, Alvin and Hansford, both of Glasgow, Burl of Troy, Pa.; sister, Mrs. Sadie Barnette of Glasgow; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchild.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Fidler-Frame Funeral Home, Belle, with the Rev. James Dew officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park, London. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
