Popular Young Saw Mill Man Passes Away Last Saturday.

Mr. Herbert Roberts died Saturday morning last at the home of Mrs. Clayton Irwin near Stamp Creek after a several weeks illness from typhoid fever. Mr. Roberts left Cartersville about two weeks ago going to Stamp Creek to visit his relative, Mrs. Irwin and while there was attacked with typhoid fever and died Saturday morning.

Mr. Roberts came to Cartersville about a month ago accompanied by his brother, Mr. Edgar Roberts, to engage in the planning mill business and fitted up a nice plant on the Seaboard railroad near the cemetery and was doing a nice business.

Mr. Roberts was born and reared in Cherokee county and was a good and trustworthy citizen.

The funeral of Mr. Roberts took place Sunday morning at the Stamp Creek church and interment took place in the Stamp Creek cemetery. [Another notice can be found on page 5 of this issue in the Corbin section of the County news which adds "He leaves a wife and two children, also his father and mother, with several brothers."]
