Ruby, age 91, passed away at the High Hope nursing home in Sulphur, La. She was predeceased by her husband Norris C. Galloway and a daughter Mary Frances McLaughlin. A long time resident of DeRidder, Ruby had lived in Sulphur for almost two years and was a caterer for the Lions and Rotary clubs. Funeral services were at the First Baptist Church of DeRidder followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Survivors included her daughters Sammie Nichols, Billie Sue Lamb, Patsy McKnight, a half-sister Mildred Lipscomb, 15 grandchildren, 25 g-grandchildren and 2 g-g-grandchildren.
