J. A. "Ras" Rasmussen, 84, of Galveston, TX, passed away peacefully on Sunday, surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Diana Jean (Whittekinde) Rasmussen and his younger sister Hannah Adella "Ann" Ross. Survivors include his younger brother, Henry Edwin Rasmussen, his two daughters, Kathleen Anne Rasmussen-Call and husband, and Julia Ann Rasmussen Elliott and husband, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, all of Sugar Land, Texas.
Services will be held at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, 2128 Broadway, Galveston, TX 77550, on Saturday, January 8, 2011. Visitation: 1-2 PM. Memorial 2-3 PM.
