Schaner, Dorothy May, 87, of Hart, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000 at Mercy Hospital, Muskegon. She was born Dec. 16, 1912, in Hart, the daughter of Judson Simmons and Mary Augusta (Puffer) Dillingham. She lived in the Hart area all her life. She married Joseph Schaner in 1930. She was a painter/decorator. She was affiliated with St. GregoryÕs Catholic Church, Hart. Survivors are daughters, Marcia and Jim Jefferies of Pentwater, and Dolores and Vince Czarnecki of Las Vegas, Nev.; sons, Harold and Louise Schaner of Hart, and Michael and Carmen Schaner of Herndon, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Schaner; and granddaughter, Linda Dodge. Funeral service Thursday, Feb. 24, 11 a.m. at St. Gregory's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ron Schneider officiating. Burial in Hart Cemetery. It is suggested that memorials may be given to the charity of choice. Arrangements by Tate Funeral Home, Hart.
