He was baptized on March 20, 1898, at Trinity Lutheran Church at Walnut Creek, Kansas. He was confirmed in the same church on March 31, 1912.
He entered the holy state of matrimony on February 4, 1920 with Karoline Anna Genschorck of Washington County, Kansas.
The deceased lived on a farm at Walnut Creek in Marshall County, Kansas until 1926. Then he and his family moved to a farm south of Deshler and lived there until 1951, when he moved to the town of Deshler.
The immediate survivors are the following: wife, Karoline of Deshler; three sons, Arlo (Marion) of Los Angeles, Calif., Vernon (Mildred) of Deshler and Elwyn of Los Angeles, Calif.; his aged mother, Sophie Holle of the Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron; two brothers, Alvin (Clara) of Deshler and Lloyd (Fern) of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and many other relatives.
Preceding him in death were is his sister, Myrtle, at the age of 10, in 1915 and his father at the age of 80 in 1952.
The funeral service was held from St. Peter Lutheran Church. Burial took place in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
