JOHNSON, BOBBIE D. was born September 5, 1929 in DeKalb County, Missouri, the son of Earl E. and Ella Inez (Newby) Johnson. He married Alice Sue Huff on July 22, 1950 in Gallatin, Missouri. Bobbie was a supervisor in the iron foundry at Viking Pump Company in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He worked there for 36 years, retiring in December of 1991. Bobbie died Thursday, May 27, 1999 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, at 69 years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Sue Johnson of Cedar Falls; his children, Vivian Wertjes of Shawnee, Kansas, Jerry Johnson of Shell Rock, Iowa and Gary and David Johnson, both of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Matthew and Stephanie Wertjes and Nicole, Travis and Jason Johnson; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Guido; his brother, Garel L. Johnson of Cedar Falls and his sister, Barbara Johnson of Grundy Center, Iowa. Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents.
