DE QUEEN, Ark.-Minnie Belle Westbrook Rivers, 86, of De Queen, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Rivers was born March 7, 1914, in Dierks,, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Rivers in Aug., 1948; one son, Elbert Harold Rivers in 1950; one daughter, Charlotte Jean Rivers in 1973; and one son, Gerald
Rivers in Dec., 1994.
Survivors include one daughter, Patty June Rivers of De Queen; four sisters, Manie Brown of Pine Bluff, Ark., Essie Eudy of Dierks, Pearl Pulley and Pauline Kesterson of Wenatchee, Wash.; one grandson, Christopher Gerald Rivers of Edgewood, Texas; and one granddaughter, Cheryl Lynn Smyth of Forney, Texas; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were in Valley Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Hankins officiating. Burial was under direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
