Orilla Jane May is the daughter of Ephraim and Eunice Mitchell May who were married in 1830 in Jackson County IN. Eunice died shortly after having her two daughters named Nancy --who married McKimmey Hook and Orilla Jane who married McKimmey's brother Matthias Hook. Ephraim May married 2nd Sarah Edwards in Bartholomew County about 1837/1838. They moved to Missouri and Ephraim married two times after that. He died in Macon County Missouri about 1879. I could not locate his place of burial when I was there but think he was buried at Hopewell Cemetery as was his brother and his sister. Rachael May is a half sister to these two above named sisters that married Hook brothers.
