Doctor Abner S. Richarson
Served with the State of Connecticut Medical Services during the Civil War of 1861-65 In fact that is were he receved most of his training to become a Doctor. After the war he came out to Carson City and hung up his shingle so to say. He seemed to have done quite well and was popular.
He died of Typhoid Fever on Oct. 4th 1882 while trying to stop an out break of that disease in Carson City. He was Buried with full military honors by GAR Post No.10 in The Lone Mountain Cemetery. The C-1870s Photo of Dr. Richardson is from the GAR Post Membership Records.
