Clifton Daily

Clifton G. Daily, 47, 1225 2nd St. SW, was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital after suffering a heart attack about 6 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Daily had been a salesman for Bank Street Rambler for about 18 months. Prior to that he was associated with various local automobile concerns. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of East End Methodist Church.

The body was to be returned to the residence at 3 o'clock this afternoon. It will lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m. Tuesday at East End Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at that time by the Rev. William E. Fears and Rev. Jimmy Rodgers. Burial is to be in Oakview Memorial Garden with Brown Funeral Co. directing. Active and honorary pallbearers are to be members of his Sunday School class.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mamie Daily; four daughters, Mary Ann, Margie Carol, Mrs. Robert Compton, and Mrs. Raymond Spence; one son, William L. Daily, all of Decatur; mother, Mrs. Mary Daily, Sheffield; two brothers, Houston and Clarence Daily, both of Russellville; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Smith, Sheffield, and Mrs. Neal Portwood, Pinson, Ala; and six grandchildren.

His body was moved to Roselawn Memorial Gardens when Oakview Memorial Garden was closed.
