MARTHA BELL STIFFLER,

Wife of James W. Stiffler, died at her home three miles west of East Freedom at 2.30 o'clock Friday afternoon of the complication of diseases. She was born in Freedom township, Sept. 20, 1874, where she lived all her life. She was a faithful member of the Mennonite church. She was united in marriage to James W. Stiffler. To this union eleven children were born, two of whom preceded her to the grave. Her husband and the following children survive: Mrs. Bertha Fagans, Ollie Stiffler, Elmer Stiffler, all of McKee; Mrs. Laura Oakes of Lakemont, McClain, Edna, Leonard, Brady and Warren, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Jane Butler, and three sisters, also survive: Mrs. George Smith, Mrs. Steven Dodson of East Freedom and Mrs. Fred Dively of Claysburg. Eight grandchildren also survive. The funeral services were held at her home this morning at 10 o'clock in charge of Rev. S.D. Yoder. Interment in Riverview cemetery at Leamersville.
