The third Bishop of Baton Rouge, from 1983 until his death from cancer in 1992. He is buried alongside Bishops Robert Emmet Tracy and Joseph Vincent Sullivan. His inscription reads: "Most Reverend Stanley Joseph Ott/Third Bishop of Baton Rouge/Born on June 29, 1927, Gretna, Louisiana/Ordained Priest on December 8, 1951/Ordained Bishop on June 29, 1976/Installed on March 25, 1983 as the Third Bishop of Baton Rouge/Died on November 28, 1992."
