Crystal Russell York Roberts, 93, of Hutto, passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at a Georgetown nursing home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, at Gatesville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ater Cemetery.
Crystal was born in Levita, Texas, to the late Jim and Stella Coward Russell. She grew up and was raised around the Levita area. She was a loving mother and care giver to many. She married Gladstone "Skeet" York and he preceded her in death after 35 years of marriage. She later married Aaron Roberts and he preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Gladstone; her second husband, Aaron; a son, Don "Tiny" York and his wife, Genny; brothers, Robert Russell and Paul Russell; and sister, Hazel Russell.
Crystal is survived by her daughters, Cynthia York Noren and husband, Thomas and Barbara York Vana and husband, Daniel; son, Evan Roberts and wife, Virginia; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Russell and wife, Frankie; and many other loving family members and friends.
