Mrs. Ida Abbott Expires At Elwood
Elwood--Mrs. Ida Abbott, 89, lifelong resident of Elwood, died at Mercy Hospital at 11 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Abbott was born Nov. 15, 1867, in Elwood, a daughter of John and Lucetta Myerly. She married William Abbott, who is deceased.
Mrs. Abbott had been residing at the home of a neice (sic), Mrs. Gladys Bagley, RR 3, Elwood. She was a member of the East Main Street Christian Church.
Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Bagley, with whom she had been living, and Mrs. Ethel Fields of near Elwood; and one nephew, Charles Harmon of near Elwood.
The body was taken to the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home here where arrangements are incomplete.
