Roger was born on September 11, 1929 in Lake Butler, Florida to Jeff and Reba (Anderson) Green. Roger married Doris M. (Spath) Bruner on July 16, 1979 in Clinton, Virginia.
He worked at Pat's Cabinet Shop in Huntington as a paint sprayer for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife - Doris M. Bruner Green of Huntington; three step-sons – James L. Bruner of Lincolnville, William E. Bruner of Umatilla, Florida, and Bruce A. (Lori) Bruner of Huntington; two step-daughters – Saundra K. Bruner of Huntington and Pamela Ludwig of Huntington; four sisters – Wilma (Kenneth) Holmes of Huntington, Murley Dyer of Andrews, Lennie Earhart of Andrews, and Joyce Garrison of Andrews; fourteen step-grandchildren; twenty-eight step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
His parents; brothers – Ray Green, Donald Green, Frank Green, and Meritte Green; step-son – Gary L. Bruner; and one great-granddaughter – Julianna Meyers precede him in death.
Visitation will be 1 - 3 p.m. Friday (January 29, 2010) at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday (January 29, 2010) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Russell Buzzard officiating.
Burial will be at a later date.
