Dale was born March 27, 1935 in Iola, Allen County, Kansas to Roy Edmond & Leona Genevieve Hufferd Britt. He spent many years in the United States Air Force serving during both the Korean Conflict and three tours in Viet Nam. He married November 5, 1954 Jeanette Penno with whom he had four children: Daryl, Diane, Michael, Mark. He also had Delilah Britt by Jeanette Larramore. He married in 1990 Joyce Cales to whom he was still married to at the time of his death. He also adopted Joyce's son Donald. He went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2010 in Washington County Tn at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center and is buried at the Mt. Home National Cemetery.
