PEARSON - Lynn Lee Guess, 43, of Pearson died Tuesday morning (April 6, 2004) from injuries received in a single motor vehicle accident in Atkinson County. Born July 21, 1960 in Coffee County, she was the daughter of the late James Lee. She was a homemaker and attended the Axson Church of God of Prophecy. A brother, Ronald Lee, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie Guess; one son, Shawn Brown (wife Bea) of Beaufort, S.C.; one daughter, Holly McDonald (husband Shane) of Willacoochee.; step-son Payton Guess (wife Regan) of Valdosta; step-daughter Leyna Guess of Valdosta; her mother and step-father, Dorothy and Eddie Strickland of Waycross; two sisters, Melinda Fogle (husband Mike) and Michelle Corbitt of Waycross; two brothers, Curtis and Kyle Lee of Waycross; three grandchildren, Dillion Brown, Cassidy McDonald and Collier Guess; father-in-law, Eulice Guess and two special friends, Eve Corbitt and David Gaskins, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Axson Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Newton Cox, the Rev. Leonard Pittman and the Rev. Joe Chancey officiating. Burial will follow in Hargraves Cemetery near Millwood. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 tonight at Relihan Funeral Home.
