Lois E. Wilson, 83, of Taylor Road died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a homemaker and a member of East Columbus United Methodist Church and State Federation of Poetry.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed & Jewell Chapel, on 25th Street with the Rev. Samuel J. Chizmar officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to East Columbus United Methodist Church or the American Lung Association.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Bartholomew County Sept. 25, 1917, the daughter of Glenn and Josephine Hook Guinn. She married the Rev. Keith T. Wilson April 3, 1938, in Seymour. He survives.

Also surviving are daughters Donna Jo Pate and Linda Wilson, both of Bloomington; grandchildren Mark Pate, Lisa Simpson and Robert Wilson, all of Bloomington; a sister, Carolyn Brush of Muncie; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Eugene Pate, and a brother, John Albert Guinn.
