Jennie came to America sometime around the tender age of 12-14. It's said that she cried when she saw the Statue of Liberty.
Little is know about her parents except a family story of how her father was shot in the backyard of their home in Russia during the revolution against Czar Nicholas II.
She was well loved by her family and known as a kind and loving.
Her maiden name is Jakuschkin or Yakuschkin. And on paper, her American name was Teodozia, as noted on her Naturalization papers in 1945 and her SSDC.
