Our beloved and adored mother, grandmother and friend died unexpectedly and left us with broken hearts on January 5, 2011.Words are insignificant to express the grief and sorrow we feel to have her gone from our lives. Her values and integrity, along with her child-like laughter and sense of humor made all those who knew her love her and many did. She was the glue that held our family together. She cherished her small family circle, which allowed her to spend significant quality time with each member. She treasured her two grandsons: B.J. and Collin, and they hold wonderful stories and many memories of "Gramma Sweetie." Her young great-granddaughter, Averiel, filled her with pride. Our mother was a talented seamstress with an artistic flair and custom made many of her daughters' outfits while growing up. She would often be seen mending clothes for neighbors, family and friends. Fern worked for United Airlines as a cook for 23 years until she retired in 1992. She was a valued and dedicated employee. Born Frances Fern Jensen on October 16, 1931 in Fountain Green, Utah; she was the child of Francis Lorin Jensen and Ingaborg Madsen (Bobbie), and was proud of her Denmark heritage. She was married to Glade Morley for 50 years and then divorced. She is survived by her children and grandchildren: son, Gaylen Morley; daughters, Kathleen Bailey, Malinda Morley Pendergast (Mike), Brenda Miller (Gordon); grandsons, Benjamin James Bailey (son of David Bailey, deceased), Collin Grant Miller; and great-granddaughter, Averiel Berlynn Bailey. Preceded in death by her mother; father; son, Wendell (died at 2 1/2 yrs. old); beloved brother, Grant Jensen; and sister, Lucille Jensen. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary located at 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah. Interment will be held Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Moroni Cemetery in Moroni, Utah. In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to the Fern Morley Memorial Fund, if desired, at any Cyprus Credit Union location.
