Benjamin "Benny" Harrison Sims III, 62, of Clanton died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton. He was born Saturday, Jan. 31, 1948, in Chilton County, son of Benjamin Harrison Sims, Jr and the late Marie Price Sims. He was a tool and die maker.

Surviving are his 2 sons, Timothy Bruce Sims and Richard Daniel Sims; 3 step-sons, Tommy Ikner, Joey Ikner and Brian Ikner; father, B. Harry Sims; and 8 grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Olen Hutchins and Rev. Oneal Cleckler officiating. Interment will follow in Clanton City Cemetery. Martin Funeral Homne directing.
