Famed Disc Jockey - on air radio personality Bob McClay passed away peacefully at his home in San Francisco, CA from complications of diabetes. Born in Atlantic City, NJ, Bob grew up as his parents owned a toy store on the famed Atlantic City Boardwalk.
Bob worked alongside many of the greats of radio in it's heyday from Atlantic City's WMID to KSAN in San Franscisco, CA. Bob also dealt in antiques and estate items. He was a cat lover and he was a cool "CAT", if you know what I mean.
Bob is survived by his wife Laurel, children Aaron and Astrud and his brothers Alan and John. Bob's parents preceded him in death.
Bob's wish was to be cremated and to have no funeral service held. His friends and family held a private memorial service in his honor at Muir Beach.
Obit was in the San Francisco Chronicle on S.F. Chronicle 7/4/99
