She was born in Hubbardton, Nov. 3, 1920, the daughter of John and Alta Westcott.
Mrs. Sanderson was a graduate of Castleton State College and employed as a teacher in Mount Holly and other area schools for 50 years.
She was a member of Mount Holly Grange and enjoyed reading and knitting.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Sanderson of Shrewsbury, and a daughter, Sandra Berg of Whitehall, N.Y., five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lee A. Sanderson, in 2008.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland where prayer services will be held at 4 p.m. with Pastor Peter Dell'Erba of Roadside Chapel Assembly of God in Rutland Town.
Burial will be at a later date in Northam Cemetery in Shrewsbury.
