Bertha Maria Schnuck was the daughter of Henry Herman Schnuck and Margaretha Dorothea Broecker Schnuck. She grew up in Spencer County Indiana and married Dr. John A. Eichling March 15, 1899 in St. Johns Lutheran Church of Clay City. Dr. and Mrs. Eichling came to Indian Territory following their marriage and spent the rest of their lives in Gore Oklahoma. Four Children were born to this union: Oscar Henry, Dorothy Maria,
Waldo Claude, and Bertha Katherine.
