Myrtice Gracen
Mrs, Myrtice Gracen, 80, died Dec. 29
at Candler Hospital.
She was a native of Register and a
longtime resident of Pooler. She retired
from the Savannah-Chatham County
public school system after teaching 30
years at Pooler Elementary School. She
was a life member of Georgia PTA and a
member of Chatham Education Association,
Georgia Education Association and
National Education Association. She was
a charter member of the Eastern Star
and a lifetime member of the Disabled
American Veterans Auxiliary. She was a
member of Trinity United Methodist
Church in Pooler, Gleaners Sunday
School Class, United Methodist Women
and an honorary member of the Administrative
Board.
SURVIVORS: her husband, Vemon
E. Gracen Sr. of Pooler; two sons, Vernon
E. Gracen Jr. of Chanhassen, Minn.,
and Ronny A. Gracen of Pooler; a brother,
Adam Brannen of Winter Haven,
Fla.; a sister, Maude Futch of Savannah;
five grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren
and several nieces and
nephews.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Fox &
Weeks Funeral Directors, Massey Chapel
In Garden City.
FUNERAL; 11 a.m. Thursday at
Trinity United Methodist Church in Pooler,
burial in Hillcrest Abbey West.
REMEMBRANCES: Strickland or
