Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Wednesday at 11 a.m. for husband and wife Jack and Vicci Cupp of Maricopa. Rev. Sam White, pastor of the Cuyama Assembly of God, will officiate at the funeral.

The Cupps perished in an automobile accident near Tipton on Friday morning. Jack was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 19, 1939. He moved with his family to the Taft area when he was four years old. He attended Taft Schools and graduated from Taft Union High School. Jack also worked for Sun Oil for 15 years before accepting a full time pastoral calling. He served as the pastor of the Gateway Temple in Maricopa for many years. He was the California Superintendent of the Full Gospel Churches International. Vicci was also an ordained minister. She was born in Taft on September 18, 1950. She was also raised and educated in Taft. Vicci and Jack enjoyed their family, especially the time spent with their grandchildren.

Their survivors include their children, their grandchildren, Jack's sisters, Vicci's mother, her brothers and sisters and their spouses, and her cousin.

The Cupps will not only be missed by their family but also by their church family and the residents of the West Side. Those who wish to sign the memorial register book prior to the service may do so on Tuesday until 8:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
