Cora Jane Jeffers, age 70, of 200 Litton Road, Oneida, passed away Tuesday evening, September 7th, at the Scott County Hospital following a lingering illness. She was the daughter of the late Tom Jeffers and the late Lina "Jeffers" Mounce. Mrs. Jeffers professed a hope in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister; Mrs. Maxine Carson of Route 2, Oneida; one brother: Clair Milton Jeffers of Helenwood; three nieces: Mrs. Anna Lou York of Lakeland, Florida, Mrs. Becky McElreath of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Mrs. Clarian Honeycutt of Loveland, Ohio; four nephews: Tommy Carson of Morrow, Georgia, Terry Lyn Jeffers of Mason, Ohio, Gary Wayne Jeffers and Tracy Allen Jeffers, both of Helenwood; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 11th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Collins-Murley Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Roy Blevins and Rev. Charlie Duncan officiating. Burial in the Terry Addition of the Litton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dan, Carson, Tommy Carson, Willard Carson, Buddy Cope, Jr., Verda Cope, Sr., and Mike McElreath.
