Mr. James E. Killmon, aged 76 years, died on Monday, 15 Apr 1946, 11:45 am, at his home in Hacks Neck. Death was due to apoplexy and while he was well advanced in years, his sudden passing came as a severe shock to his family and friends. Mr. Killmon was born near Onancock, son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Thomas H. Parker (this was an error, as these were the parents of his wife, Lula F. Parker) who moved to Rose Hill Farm, near Harborton, where Mr. Killmon was reared. Funeral services were held at Evergreen Church, of which he had been a trustee for many years. Interment was in Hollies Cemetery. The pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were listed, as well as survivors (E.S. News, 24 Apr 1946). James was born in 1868 at Hacks Neck, Acc Co, VA.2 He married Lula F. 'Luly' Parker, daughter of Thomas H. Parker and Sarah F. East, on 5 February 1891 at Accomack Co, VA.1 James died on 15 April 1946 at Hacks Neck, Acc Co, VA.3 His body was interred at Hollies Baptist Ch Cem, Keller, Acc Co, VA.2
