Mrs. Alice L Bowman, age 89 years, died Monday evening at 9:40 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. E. McBride 401 west Walnut street, with whom she had made her home. Her death resulted from a weeks illness of pneumonia. Mrs. Bowman widow of Asbury Bowman, was born March 28, 1854 in Vigo county the daughter of Elias and Margaret Connelly Garner. She spent practically all her life in the Greencastle community Where she was well known. The deceased was a member of the Gobin Methodist church.
Surviving besides her daughter are one brother Walter Garner of Greencastle and three grandchildren. Francis Cook of Rock Island Ill. and Mrs. Mariene Duncan of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Rector funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
Rev. John Tenaant will in m charge of the service.
