Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Edna Singleton, 73, left this Earth Monday. Jan. 3, 2011, much to our great sorrow. She was born Feb. 22, 1937, in Nyssa, Ore. She was a bookkeeper for a charity and a resident of Nevada for over 30 years. Mom's life was filled to overflowing by befriending, helping and inspiring other people. She was called "Mom" by many. She worked very hard her whole life and devoted her life to her family. Edna is survived by her daughters, Diana (Vince) Browning, Linda (Grant) Stewart, Barbara (Jeff) Ambuehl and Brenda (Rob) Arnold; caregiver, Nancy; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Christensen; and one brother, Guy Tanner. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, both at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside service will be at noon Monday, Jan. 10, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd. in Boulder City.
