Sgt. Jose A. Delgado Arroyo, 41, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, died Jan. 2 in Taji, Iraq, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1013th Engineer (Sapper) Company of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Also killed was Staff Sgt. Jose M. Cintron Rosado. The two soldiers were inseparable friends both in life and death. Sgt Delgado-Arroyo was a municipal police officer on leave from his job after being called to duty in Iraq. He leaves behind a wife, Zugelly Colon del Valle and two children.
